3(6x - 1) = 12 Please help I've tried doing the math and I can't find out what I'm doing wrong​

3(6x-1) = 12

18x -3 = 12
Add 3 over

18x = 15
X= 5/6

Check

3(6*5/6-1) = 12
3(5-1)= 12
3(4)= 12
